Deja Vu is a mysterious phenonmenon that really fascinates us at BDH.
Deja Vu is french for 'already seen' and it is basically when someone is in a situation or visitng a place, doing regular mundane day-to-day things, or maybe just talking to some friends, that you get a strange feeling that you've done that exact same thing at some other point in the past. Some people believe it is evidence of past life theories.
There is also another rarely studied phenonmenon called 'jamais vu' which means 'never seen', and this seems a bit more disturbing. Jamais Vu can occur when you are doing a familiar thing, i.e. such as walking through your home town, a route that you know extremely well, like the back of your hand, having taken it so many times over the years, and then all of a sudden, you feel as if you have never been in that area, or town and you become quite disorented. Must be quite strange to all of a sudden be a stranger in a place you are very familiar with!
